Adani Gas' subsidiary, Adani TotalEnergies E-Mobility, has joined hands with MG Motor India to boost electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across India. This collaboration aims to install advanced charging stations and enhance accessibility for EV users.

Under the agreement, Adani TotalEnergies E-Mobility will deploy CC2 60 kW DC chargers at upcoming MG dealerships. They will manage the entire process, from supply and installation to operations and maintenance of the charging infrastructure.

Both companies intend to explore integrating public charging stations using innovative technology like application programming interfaces (APIs). This will improve network visibility and make charging more convenient for EV owners.

Gaurav Gupta, Chief Growth Officer at MG Motor India, expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing its role in promoting sustainable mobility and revolutionizing the EV sector in India.

Suresh P Mangalani, ED & CEO of Adani TotalEnergies Gas Limited, highlighted the significance of this collaboration in accelerating India's energy transition and reducing carbon emissions.

MG Motor India, backed by the JSW Group since 2023, has been witnessing growth despite challenges. In March 2024, the company reported a 23% year-on-year decline in retail sales but managed to achieve a 14% growth in sales for the fiscal year 2023-24 compared to the previous year.
