New Delhi: Gautam Adani, the richest man in Asia and the fourth richest person in the world, is trying his hand in one sector after another. In order to expand his business, he has made another big deal. This deal is worth Rs 835 crore. Under this, Adani Logistics is now going to buy Inland Container Depot (ICD) Tumb.
Adani Logistics, a subsidiary of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited itself has disclosed this. On Tuesday, it has been told by the company that it has signed a contract of Rs 835 crore with Navkar Corporation for the acquisition of ICD Tumb. According to media reports, ICD Tumb is included in the largest inland container depot. Its capacity is 0.5 million or 5 lakh TEU. ICD is strategically located between Hazira Port and Nhava Sheva Port.
The company has said that this deal will be helpful to increase capacity and cargo in future. The company said that Tomb ICD has a private freight terminal with four rail handling lines belonging to Western DFC. Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) CEO Karan Adani has said about this deal that the acquisition of Tumb, one of the largest ICDs in the country, will give strength to our plans.
