New Delhi: Rohit Rajbir Singh, Additional DCP, Delhi Police's Shahdara District, who was injured while controlling the mob in a violent protest in Delhi against the Citizenship Law (CAA), told a media reporter during a conversation with Were kind of furious and started throwing stones at the police. Additional DCP of Shahdara District told that on December 20, I was with my 4 staff. Then I came to know that after the end of Namaz, around 1000-1500 people are gathering in Old Seemapuri. Arriving there, the crowd was throwing stones at a bus.

After reaching there, I started explaining to people. The crowd started growing slowly. In a short time, around 3000 people gathered there. He told that the crowd suddenly started throwing stones at the police. I ran from there I fired in the air. During that time many stones came to me. Then I started going towards the crowd, firing 9 rounds in the air. The crowd was so fierce that I could fire on the crowd as well. But at the same time it came to my mind that many of these people would not even know why we are throwing stones. Most people in the crowd were 18–19 years old. Then went and controlled the crowd with the force. When the stone was pelted, the first stone came to the person whom I was explaining. People do not know why he was throwing stones. Who these people were is under investigation. We have good relations with every community. But those who attack the police take the law into their hands, I want to tell those people that the bullets I fired in the air, I could also run on them.
