Kolkata: In the election riots of West Bengal, swords have been drawn in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Trinamool Congress (TMC). On Wednesday, Bengal CM and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee filed her nomination from Nandigram, and before that she went to the Shiva temple and offered prayers. This Hindu card of Mamata Banerjee has been described by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as an election stunt.

Union Minister and BJP leader Giriraj Singh released a video on Twitter on Wednesday, saying that Mamata Didi and Rahul Gandhi are electoral Hindus. They appease whole time and at the time of elections, they reach to temple under pressure from the people and Modi Ji. Giriraj Singh alleged that Durga Puja is banned by them as soon as the power comes into their hand. In Bengal, people have to travel around the court to do Durga Puja.

Prior to Union Minister Giriraj Singh, Nandigram BJP candidate Shubhendu Adhikari also took a dig at Mamata Banerjee. Suvendu Adhikari said that Hindus would not be safe under Mamata's rule. Congress has also jumped into this battle of BJP and TMC. Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary said that BJP and TMC are fighting each other and nobody is talking about the voice of Bengal. Adhir Ranjan said that Mamata Banerjee is trying to prove herself a Brahmin, after the BJP's entry in Bengal, Mamata's attitude has changed.
