Godrej Industries Chairman Adi Godrej gave the resignation from his post on Friday. He will now be replaced by Brother Nadir Godrej with the company. The board of directors of Godrej Industries Limited accepted Adi Godrej's resignation at a meeting held on Friday. He may no longer be part of the company's board of directors, but he will continue to serve the company as honorary chairman.

However, Adi Godrej is not going to leave immediately after his resignation. He will continue in office till October 1, 2021, and then hand over the charge of chairman of the company to his brother Nadir Godrej. Nadir Godrej is currently the Managing Director (MD) of the company. Now, after Adi Godrej's resignation, he will have the responsibility of chairman along with it.

Speaking on the occasion of Adi Godrej's resignation, he said, "It is a privilege for me to have the opportunity to serve Godrej Industries for 4 decades. In the meantime, our company has given excellent results and has changed the company so much. I am also grateful to the members of my Board for supporting me from time to time and giving good suggestions. I am grateful to everyone associated with my company."
