She is the great-granddaughter of Muhammad Saleh Akbar Hydari, a former governor of Assam.

Aditi once discloses  that she was married to her schoolmate and fellow actor Satyadeep Mishra at the tender age of 21. They tied knot 2009 but only five years into the marriage they decided to get a divorce when she was 25.

Adtiri once in an interview herself admitted this and said, “Yes, I got married at 21 to Satyadeep, who was a civil servant and lawyer and gave it up to become an actor. I met him when I was 17 and that was my only serious relationship. It broke my heart when we separated, but only the name of the relationship collapsed as we are friends and are still close. For his mother, I am a daughter and for my mother, he will always remain a son. He is much older to me and always teases me about being his child who he cannot get rid of.

She further said, “I haven’t talked about it in the past and there’s a reason I don’t want to talk about it even now. Somehow, I don’t think that discussing personal stuff in terms of which family I come from or where I grew up, all that is not important as actors. We have to be transparent and we need to take on whatever is given to us, and we need not talk about our private life in open.”

Aditi appeared in a number of Hindi movies, including the musical Rockstar (2011), the thriller Murder 3 (2013), the suspenseful Wazir (2016), and the historical drama Padmaavat (2018). For her leading role in Mani Ratnam's Kaatru Veliyidai in 2017, Hydari was honored with the SIIMA Award for Best Debut Tamil Actress. Since then, she has contributed to other South Indian cinema industries, working on films like Sammohanam in Telugu.  Aditi played the role of Alaaudins’s wife in Padmaavat.
