Mumbai: For the first time in Maharashtra assembly election 2019, a member from Thackeray family is going to step into electoral politics. Aditya Thackeray, son of Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, is reported to be contesting from Mumbai's Worli assembly seat. It has been reported from sources that 29-year-old Aditya Thackeray can file his nomination for the election on October 3.
This will be the first time in the 53-year history of the Shiv Sena that the Shiv Sena will get the face of a 'Thackeray' family in the elections. Aditya Thackeray will be the first member to contest any election from Thackeray family. Currently, he heads the Yuva Sena, the youth wing of the Shiv Sena. The official announcement of Aditya's candidature from Mumbai's Worli assembly seat can be made today. It is noteworthy that October 4 is the last date for filing nominations in Maharashtra. Before this, no one has contested any election from Bal Thackeray, Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray.
