Kabul: Afghanistan is celebrating its 102nd Independence Day on Thursday under the rule of the terrorist organization Taliban and during this time people here started a '#donotchangenationalflag' campaign on social media to support the country's national flag and demands not to change it. As part of the campaign, thousands of people vocally supported the country's red, green and black national flag, which the Taliban has removed from the country and put up their white flags everywhere. 

Protesters in Afghanistan's capital Kabul on Thursday hoisted the country's national flag and raised slogans of 'Afghanistan Zindabad.' At the same time, some youth, however, were also seen supporting the Talibani flag. A large number of youths appeared in Kabul with banners and flags of the Taliban. They also wore bandanas (a kind of large handkerchief) bearing the Taliban flag.

According to media reports, the white banner of the Taliban reads in Arabic 'La ilaha il Allah, Mohammad Rasool Allah' which means, 'There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.' Videos of local people hoisting the national flag were posted on social media from several places. In some videos and photographs, Afghan men can be seen climbing on poles to hoist the national flag.
