From the current phase till the end of Pongal 2019, its going to be a feast for fans of superstar Rajinikanth with two releases – 2.0 and Petta – placed in the space of less than two months. And looks like the festivities will not end there. According to emerging reports, Rajinikanth will join hands with Sarkar director A.R. Murugadoss for his next film. Also, news has it that the yet unconfirmed and untitled film will be bankrolled by 2.0 producer Lyca Productions. If this materialises, it would be a treat for the fans since Lyca Productions are known for their top-notch production values. Many months ago, Tamil film circle was abuzz with news about a Rajinikanth-A.R.Murugadoss film in the making which was officially yet to be confirmed.

Rajinikanth is gearing up for two releases in the next two months, 2.0 and Petta. Directed by Shankar, 2.0 stars Rajinikanth as Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti The Robot in a reloaded version. Besides the superstar, 2.0 also stars Akshay Kumar and will be the actor’s first film in Kollywood. Amy Jackson would be seen playing the leading lady and this will be her first film alongside superstar Rajinikanth.

On the other hand, Petta is a Karthik Subbaraj-directorial and is the young filmmaker’s first association with Rajinikanth. Petta, besides Rajinikanth, also stars Simran, Trisha Krishnan and Vijay Sethupathi in pivotal roles. Acclaimed Bollywood actor Naawazuddin Siddiqui will foray into Tamil cinema with Petta and will be seen playing the baddie in the film.
