New Zealand defeated India by India by six wickets in their first warm-up game on Saturday at the Kennington Oval. The Indian batting line-up was exposed once again in bowling friendly conditions as New Zealand bowlers made full use of the swing. However, despite the failure of the batsmen, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja said there was nothing to worry about as the team has enough time before their first game to sort out the issues.

In the post- match press conference, "This is our first game, it is just one game and we can't judge players on one bad innings, one bad match. So nothing to worry as a batting unit. It is always difficult in England, you are coming from India, where you play in flat wicket ... we still have time to work on it.”

He further added, "There is nothing to worry, just keep playing good cricket. As a batting unit we will work harder on our batting skills, everyone has a lot of experience, so nothing to worry.”

The all-rounder further added, "We knew there will be seaming conditions, so we decided to bat to face tough conditions because if we bat in such conditions it will be easy for batsmen in actual matches. We took it as a challenge. We will do well, we have no doubt.”

Talkin about the match, the top order of India failed to give a good start to the team. Rohit Sharma (2), Shikhar Dhawan (2) and Virat Kohli (18) were all dismissed cheaply as the top order suffered an early collapse with Trent Boult wreaking havoc. The middle order failed to deliver as well with only Ravindra Jadeja (54 off 50) and Hardik Pandya 30 (37) managing to put some fight. India were bundled out for 179 in 39.2 overs failing to play the full quota of 50 overs.
