After a failed attempt to rape, a man set victim into ablaze

Gorakhpur: In a recent incident that reveal as shocking incident recently came to light from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The victim was allegedly set on fire after she prevented a youth from raping her. The accused hails from Deoria. The incident took place in the Bhatni area. The accused was identified as Tarzon. The accused and the victim belong to the same village. The victim suffered 85 per cent burns in the alleged incident.

While talking to the news agency, and detail investigation reveals that  the police stated that the victim had gone to relieve herself when the alleged incident took place. The accused allegedly tried to rape the victim. After his attempts were foiled, he poured petrol on the victim and set her ablaze. After setting the victim on fire, the accused fled the scene. The victim who suffered 85 per cent was taken to the district hospital for her treatment but she succumbed to the burns. After the victim's statement was recorded before the magistrate, the district superintendent directed the police to register a case against the accused. The police are trying to arrest the accused.

Here it is to be noted that another appalling incident surfaced earlier today after a teenager set herself on fire after she was allegedly molested by her neighbour. The incident took place in the Banda district of Uttar Pradesh. The locals of the area caught hold of the accused and handed him over to the police soon after the incident. The victim had allegedly gone out to buy groceries when she was taken to a secluded spot by the accused. Though the accused tried to molest the victim, she managed to escape. Soon after the incident, the victim locked herself in a room and immolated herself.
