All India Backward and Minority Communities Employees Federation has announced a nationwide bandh today i.e. on 25 May. This bandh has been called against the decision of the Central Government in which the Center has said that it is not going to conduct caste based census for OBCs. Bahujan Mukti Party's Saharanpur district president Neeraj Dhiman has said that apart from the caste based census, the federation has also appealed not to conduct elections with EVMs in the elections. He has said that there should be SC, ST, OBC based reservation in private sector also. Bahujan Mukti Party, Bahujan Kranti Morcha has also extended its support to the nationwide bandh called by BAMCEF.
This bandh has been called under the leadership of National Backward Classes Morcha National President Vikas Patel. DP Singh, the executive state president of Bahujan Mukti Party, has demanded from the people that they should make this nationwide bandh a success. Raising the demand for caste census, it has been said that people have the right to vote, so EVM is not going to be made mandatory. The law that the Central Government brought against the farmers had to be withdrawn but the government has not yet enacted a law to guarantee MSP, we demand that it should be made.
Bahuj Kranti Morcha leader Vaman Meshram has also said that some forces have started spreading false rumors about the bandh and they want to increase tension through it. These people want to spoil the atmosphere so that the attention of the people is diverted from the bandh, especially of the OBC class so that they will not be able to join this movement. Giving information about the bandh on behalf of the Bhartiya Yuva Morcha, it has been said that during this time we have different demands, which have to be accepted.
