This was disclosed by Bindu in an interview. Actually, when she was asked, 'Has the image of the vamp played in the movie affected her personal life too much?' On this, the actress has said that 'Once Rakhi and I started hugging each other, then I heard some women saying that why Rakhi started hugging Bindu? People thought I was bad. They used to abuse me even in the theatre. But I used to consider their abuses as my praise. When my male fans used to come to meet me, their wives used to hide them, they would not allow me to come. They were afraid that I would start stringing on their father. Now the time has changed and people understand the difference between real and reel life. I am a soft-hearted person. I feel bad if someone gets hurt because of me.'
In the same interview, Bindu had also revealed that she was advised by Bollywood's tragedy queen Meena Kumari to become a vamp in the movie. She has said about this that, 'She (Meena Kumari) had advised me not to fall into the trap of becoming a heroine. Vamp's space is empty. You will rule there. Her advice was always in my mind.'
