After Goa, turmoil in 'Gujarat Congress' too!

Ahmedabad: The Congress is taking out a 'Bharat Jodo' yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir to regain its lost political ground. Former party national president Rahul Gandhi himself is trying to attract people by leading this yatra. But, in the meantime, his party is becoming more weak than joining. Ever since the Congress announced the 'Bharat Jodo' yatra, many senior leaders and MLAs have left the Congress. Party leaders say that the patience of the leaders is being broken due to the continuous electoral defeats.

The Congress, however, has consistently claimed that the yatra will revive the organisation. Its benefit will be seen in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In such a situation, the question is arising as to why are the party leaders losing patience. The leadership crisis in the party is also a major reason. Most of the leaders who have left the party say that the situation is not clear about the leadership. Decisions are also delayed. At the same time, some leaders are also avoiding the party by calling Rahul Gandhi childish and immature like Ghulam Nabi Azad. Recently, 8 MLAs of Goa Congress have joined BJP, while it is being told that many leaders of Gujarat Congress can also go to the saffron camp.

On the other hand, the election program for the post of National President of Congress has been announced. The nomination process will begin by the end of this month. But, it is not yet decided who will be the new president of the party. Most of the party leaders are demanding that Rahul Gandhi be made the president once again, but Rahul Gandhi is refraining from saying anything clearly in this regard. At the same time, many party leaders are insisting on the election of the president by mutual consent instead of the election to choose a new president. Leaders like Shashi Tharoor and Manish Tewari are also raising questions about the lack of transparency in the election for the post of Congress president.
