Clara Shellman never thought in her wildest dreams that a simple trip to the nail salon would turn into the worst day of her life. Clara was enjoying a pedicure at a salon when she lost her foot, according to the Tampa Bay Times. According to her claim, the pedicure was performed by a salon employee who cut her foot. The wound had become infected, and it was quickly spreading. Clara had peripheral vascular disease, which made the situation more worse. Clara saw no other option than to have her leg amputated since she was so worried about the infection and her issue.

The arteries in the limbs constrict as a result of peripheral vascular disease, limiting blood flow. Legs are the most commonly affected by this condition.

This terrible tragedy occurred in September of 2018 in Florida. Clara and the salon have now reached an agreement after a three-year legal battle. This agreement was detailed in her court records, which were submitted on December 16. According to the story, her attorney, Paul Fulmer, stated that the sum is $1.75 million.

The case, which was filed in May 2020, accuses the salon of employing filthy tools and equipment that endangers consumers. According to the lawsuit, the corporation failed to follow established rules and train its workers. The salon, however, disputed all of the allegations in its response. They said Clara was to blame since she did not make sufficient steps to stop the infection from spreading. The salon first denied Clara's assertion that their tools and equipment were filthy.

During the hearing, Paul stated that Clara was entitled to the whole settlement sum. After observing Clara's condition, the salon decided to pay her $ 1.75 million.
