Rajkot: last month cricketer Ravindra Jadeja joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and now  his sister and father officially joined the Congress party at an election meeting in Rajkot’s Jamnagar on Sunday.

According to the report, Jadeja's sister Nainaba and father Aniruddhsinh joined the party in presence of the local leaders ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. The election rally was reportedly addressed by Congress leader Hardik Patel for party’s Jamnagar candidate Mulu Kandoriya.

Jadeja's wife Rivaba On March 3 took a political plunge by joining the BJP in presence of Gujarat cabinet minister R C.

Faldu, MP Poonamben, and MLA Bakubai Jadeja ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit, news agency ANI reported.

Earlier, Rivaba and her husband had met Prime Minister Modi at his official residence in Delhi.

The election in Gujarat will be held in a single phase on April 23. The counting of votes will be done on May 23.
