The song is included in the coming documentary, rip-off, which is about the reservation protest of 2016. Sunil said in a statement, "This song has a lot of emotions within me, it reminds you that life is so playful and human struggle can disturb a family without any return. "I feel honored to present this beautiful song, which resonates with the feelings of the documentary 'RIP expropriation'. I wish for love, strength, and peace for all those in this tragedy." The song will be released on 29th January.

Talking about the work front, Sunil has recently played a role in the web series 'Tandav' released on Amazon Prime. He is currently in the promotion of the series. However, a new controversy over the series has also arisen. The producers allege that they have ridiculed the Hindu deities. As the uproar grows, the web series director Ali Abbas Zafar has publicly apologized. Protests are also continuing in many places over the series.
