Mumbai: The tussle between the BJP and the ruling Shiv Sena continues in Maharashtra. A case has been registered in Mumbai against BJP leader and former MP Kirit Somaiya and his son Neil Somaiya in connection with the Rs 57 crore scam. It has now been attacked by Shiv Sena's Rajya Sabha MP and the party's chief spokesperson Sanjay Raut. Sanjay Raut tweeted that the father and son will have to go to jail now.
Sanjay Raut tweeted, "Mark My Words: Ins Vikrant, Somaiya father-son duos who cheated the country and the people by collecting crores of rupees will have to go to jail. Kirit Somaiya is not only a Maharashtra traitor, now he has also been proved to be a traitor. People should not remain silent anymore. We should seek an answer from the BJP, which is black marketing the national spirit. The cases against Kirit Semayya and Neil Somaiya have been registered by ex-servicemen Baban Bhosale under sections 420, 406, and 34 of the IPC at Trombay police station. Kirit Somaiya and his son Neil Somaiya were accused by Sanjay Raut of a Rs 57 crore scam.
After the ED's action in a money laundering case related to land deals, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut had levelled a major allegation against BJP leader Kirit Somaiya and questioned where did the money he had deposited to save INS Vikrant went. Sanjay Raut had hit out at Kirit Somaiya, saying that the BJP had launched a campaign to save INS Vikrant and deposited money from the people. The money was to be deposited in the Raj Bhavan and Kirit Somaiya had then talked about depositing the money in the Raj Bhavan, but when he asked the Raj Bhavan for information, no such money was reported.
