Chandigarh: Former Haryana CM and Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda have got a big relief from the Punjab and Haryana High Court in the AGL plot allotment case. The High Court in its order has placed a stay order in the ongoing Enforcement Directorate (ED) probe into the AGL plot allotment case. The High Court on Wednesday stayed the proceedings of the Special ED Court in Haryana in the AJL (Associated Journal Limited) plot allotment case. The matter will now be heard next on August 18.

Tell you that Bhupinder Singh Hooda had approached the high court in the case. The ED in this case wanted an inquiry into the alleged money laundering. The 22, including former Haryana CM and Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda, were granted regular bail in March 2021 in the case. The special ED court in Haryana in Panchkula is hearing Bhupinder Singh Hooda in the AJL plot allotment case. Congress leader and chairman of AJL House Motilal Vora was the second main accused in the case who has passed away.

Bhupinder Singh Hooda was the chairman of Haryana Urban Development Authority while he was CM of Haryana, during which the plot was again allotted to AGL. It was alleged that Bhupinder Hooda and other officials had illegally allotted land in 2005. In this case, several red slaps were also fired at Bhupinder Hooda's hideouts.
