New Delhi: A nationwide agitation is to start from September 24 against the central government for the passage of agricultural bills from the Congress Parliament. The decision was taken after the meeting of all the general secretaries of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Monday. Senior Congress leader AK Antony said that the party is going to campaign against the central government to pass anti-farmer and anti-people laws. At the same time, party leader Ahmed Patel said that the democratic system has been ruined by the government.

The Agricultural Bill is neither in the interest of the state governments nor the farmers. We raised our voice against this in Parliament and are now going to hit the streets. He said that the movement was decided under the leadership of party president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. KC Venugopal said that the party campaign is going on to collect 2 crore signatures of farmers and poor people against these bills. After which a memorandum will also be submitted to the President. Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said that a press conference will also be held across the country against the agricultural bills. The state president and other senior leaders of the party will take out a rally in their respective states and will also submit a memorandum to the respective governor.

10-day protest against agricultural bills in Karnataka: A 10-day protest of farmers against agricultural bills has started in Karnataka since Monday. Due to this, the road has been blocked. This performance will run till 30 September. Farmers believe that these bills are anti-farmer. Until the government withdraws the bills, we are not going to stop the protest.
