New Delhi: The Modi government on Friday asked farmers agitating against the agriculture law to take a two-point stand that they should leave the agitation and take a dialogue path. Agriculture Minister Narendra Tomar said the government has been told by the media that farmers have rejected the proposal sent by the Government on new agricultural laws.

It may be mentioned that the Government had recently taken a 20-page proposal to the farmers and requested them to end their agitation. The proposal talked about a number of changes in the law. Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said, "In our proposal, we have tried to suggest redressal of their objections. They should leave the agitation and adopt the path of dialogue. The Government is agreeing to negotiate.''

Narendra Singh Tomar claimed that the laws framed by the Government have been made to bring about a change in the lives of farmers. Tomar further said, "The laws ensure that farmers can live a better life and go to remunerative agriculture. "He said, "I think the conversation will find a solution." I hope so. I would like to request the farmers' organisations to break the deadlock. The Government has sent a proposal to them. If there is any objection to the provisions of an Act, negotiate it.''
