In this festive season, All India Digital Cable Federation Association (AIDCF) has announced a discount on selecting an a-la-carte channel for cable TV users. Since the new cable TV and DTH rules came into effect, users will now have to pay Rs 130 + GST as a network capacity fee to watch TV a month.
If a user selects a favorite paid channel, then the rate per channel for that will be paid. In this way, users can choose channels in an a-la-carte manner. Not only this, according to the guidelines of TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India), cable TV and DTH service providers can also offer combo offers, in which users will be offered a bouquet of channels. However, cable TV users are only going to get the festive season offer only after selecting a-la-carte channels.
According to media reports, under the festive season offer by AIDCF, users will be shown 150 SD channels instead of 100 SD channels. To take advantage of this fur, subscribers have to renew their packs before the due date. Users who renew their packs before the due date will get the benefit of this offer. AIDCF member said that in this way, users will save Rs 40 NCF i.e. Network Capacity Fee. AIDCF also expects similar friendly steps from Broadcast Partners for this.
If you do not know, then tell that at this time, big cable operators like DEN, Hathway are providing cable service. AIDCF's decision will benefit millions of users of these cable service providers. These users will be shown 50 channels every month for free. All the subscribers, old and new, will get the benefit of this festive season offer. However, the benefit of this offer will be only to the users watching the SD channels. Users watching HD channels will not get the benefit of this.
