Jaipur: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has said that his party is against the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the country. Owaisi said, India is a diverse country. We should keep it intact. "AIMIM opposes the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code.  

On Tuesday, Owaisi arrived in Jaipur to launch the Rajasthan unit of AIMIM. During this time, he made it clear that his party is not in favour of doing UCC in the country. Owaisi said that India is a country which is known for its diversity.   We must maintain that diversity.   "Aimim opposes the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code. Provisions have been made for Hindus in many places like Goa. Is the BJP ready to remove those provisions to implement the UCC?

Owaisi said his party will contest the assembly elections in Rajasthan. "In how many seats will the party field candidates or with whom it will ally? A decision on this has not yet been taken. Owaisi said, "We have decided to go into the upcoming elections. He said that the state is facing many challenges. In such a situation, we launched the Rajasthan unit of our party. However, we will announce later on how many seats we will contest and whom we will form an alliance with. '
