Air India Express Unveils New Flights Linking Gwalior to 3 More Cities Including Ayodhya

Gwalior, a city in Madhya Pradesh, has witnessed the inauguration of daily direct flights to Bengaluru by Air India Express. The milestone was marked with the virtual presence of notable figures, including Shri. Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, the Hon'ble Minister of Civil Aviation, and Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. State Ministers Shri Pradhuman Singh Tomar and Shri Narayan Singh Kushwah, along with Shri Vivek Narayan Shejwalkar, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, and Shri Mohan Singh Rathore, MLA, Gwalior, also participated in the event at Gwalior airport. The inaugural boarding pass was presented to the Hon’ble Minister of Civil Aviation by Aloke Singh, Managing Director of Air India Express.

Expressing delight, Aloke Singh stated, “In just two months since launching operations from Gwalior with direct flights to Hyderabad, Air India Express is thrilled to introduce direct flights to Bengaluru. Direct services from Gwalior to Delhi will also commence soon, connecting to many cities, including Ayodhya. Our commitment to enhancing connectivity in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, the growth engines of New India, is reaffirmed through this contribution to Gwalior’s growth story."

Gwalior becomes the second destination in Madhya Pradesh for Air India Express, complementing existing direct flights between Indore and Sharjah. Bookings are available through the airline’s award-winning app and website, airindiaexpress.com, and other major booking platforms.

To enhance the customer experience, Air India Express recently introduced Vista VIP, a business-class-like product. This includes wider seats, increased legroom, Gourmair hot meals, additional baggage allowance, and Xpress ahead priority boarding services. The airline also announced the expansion of operations to Ayodhya, offering flights to Delhi, Bengaluru, and Kolkata. This follows the recent launch of direct flights connecting Bengaluru and Kozhikode, along with flights between Dammam in Saudi Arabia and Mumbai and Hyderabad.
