New Delhi: The first aircraft of Air India Express (AIE) departed from Cochin International Airport Limited (CIL) on Thursday afternoon at 12.30 pm to bring Indian citizens stranded in the UAE due to the Coronavirus epidemic. On giving information, official sources have said that the first aircraft to fly Indian citizens, most of them passengers from Kerala, from Abu Dhabi has flown from Cochin International Airport.

He told that the plane would reach Abu Dhabi Airport by three in the afternoon. After this, it will take passengers from there at 4.15 minutes. Another aircraft of Air India Express will be departed from Kozhikad Airport at 1.20 pm. After this, the aircraft will take off from Dubai Airport carrying 177 adults and five newborns at five o'clock in the evening and it will land at Kozhikode Airport on Thursday night for 10:30.

According to official sources, 2,000 people will arrive in the state within five days from 13 aircraft.
