New Delhi: The country's leading airline company Air India has said that unlike other airlines that remove a large number of employees, none of its employees will leave. The country's largest airline company IndiGo announced on Monday that it will lay off 10 per cent of its employees due to the economic crisis caused by the Coronavirus epidemic.
Air India tweeted that, "The recent decision of the Air India Board to rationalize the expenditure on employee salaries was reviewed at a meeting of the Ministry of Civil Aviation this evening. It was reiterated in the meeting that no other Air India employee like other aviation companies will be laid off from their job".
"No deduction will be made in basic salary, dearness allowance and HRA of any category of employees. Due to Corona due to the difficult financial situation of the airline, the allowances had to be decided. It said that the crew members would be paid on the basis of hours of flight."
