Air India to develop 6 new fighter planes for Indian Airforce

New Delhi: Indian Air Force (IAF) is going to develop the weapon with the help of Air India after which it will be easy to do airstrikes like Balakot. With the aim of furthering the country's defence industries, it has been decided that 6 new Airborne Early Warning and Control Systems (AWACs) will be prepared for the IAF.

These aircraft will be prepared by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). All these 6 aircraft will be developed from the Air India plane. Avax is going to be prepared in the country itself to increase surveillance capabilities on the frontiers of China and Pakistan. According to sources related to the government, the aircraft will be prepared by DRDO. This project is going to be about 10,500 crores.

6 aircraft will be taken from Air India's fleet and then it will be equipped with fly with radar. After this, the surveillance capabilities of the armies will be increased up to 360 degrees. Sources have said, 'Six AEW & C block 2 planes are going to be as capable as the old system eye and will be able to provide up to 360-degree coverage during the mission on enemy's border'. It is believed that the government will soon clear the project.
