As of 8:30 am this Saturday, the overall air quality in the national capital remains firmly entrenched in the 'severe' category, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) registering a distressing 416.

The city and its neighboring areas are grappling with a persistent air quality crisis, as evidenced by SAFAR's latest data. Delhi University recorded an alarming AQI of 435, while Terminal 3 of the airport reported an even more concerning AQI of 456. Noida, IIT Delhi, and Gurugram are not faring any better, with AQI figures standing at 492, 432, and 435, respectively, all firmly within the 'severe' range according to the 8:30 am SAFAR data.

In certain pockets of the city, such as Pusa and Lodhi Road, air quality is marginally better but still far from satisfactory, with AQI levels of 395 and 385, respectively, categorizing them as 'very poor.' Adding to these grim statistics, the Central Pollution Control Board records an AQI of 442 in Wazirpur, 415 in Rohini, and a troubling 448 in Anand Vihar.
