New Delhi: The Central Government is going to take major steps keeping air security in mind. The government will install body scanners at all airports in the country in the coming two years. The decision is taken by Bureau of Civil Aviation Security. After the installation of body scanners at airports, security officers will not have to investigate everybody on their own. At the airport, it takes at least five minutes for passengers to undergo security checks. The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security is going to issue a guideline for the same soon.

This will help the Central Industrial Security Force, which is guarding the airports, in handling the congestion of passengers. The facility, which is available at US airports so far, will be launched in India. BCAS Chairman Kumar Rajesh Chandra said that the bureau is going to issue specifications and rules for the same soon. This is when trials have been successfully conducted at some airports in the country.

Whatever body scanners will be installed at airports in India, they will be fitted accordingly which will suit the garment worn by Indians. Sp in case if a woman puts on a saree or a man wears lungi or any other Indian attire, it can be checked easily.
