Earlier only Reliance Jio was the only telecom company in the country, whose consumers were getting this facility in every telecom circle of the country. Airtel consumers can avail this facility on more than 250 smartphones introduced with this feature. Earlier, this facility of Airtel was released in 21 telecom circles of the country besides Jammu and Kashmir Telecom Circle. Airtel has now released it for Jammu and Kashmir Telecom Circle as well.

Airtel was the first telecom company in the country, which started 4G service in 2012. After this Vodafone started its 4G service. In 2016, the telecom company Reliance Jio, which entered the Indian market, first started the 4G VoLTE service. The company had simultaneously launched this service in all telecom circles of the country. Bharti Airtel first introduced the 4G VoLTE service in 2017. Earlier Airtel 4G VoLTE service was being rolled out with the support of limited smartphones. Now it can be accessed with the support of more than 250 smartphones.

Like Reliance Jio, after the rollout of Airtel 4G VoLTE service, consumers can now experience HD voice calling. Also, consumers can access data while talking on a call. Earlier Airtel 4G consumers were not able to access high-speed data while making calls. At the time of calling, data was switched to 3G or 2G. With the introduction of 4G VoLTE service, the consumer can now get the opportunity to access data at the same speed.
