New Delhi: The Citizenship Amendment Bill has been passed in the Lok Sabha even after the opposition's strong opposition. The vote was held at midnight after an uproar over the bill. After the passage of the bill, AIUDF leader Badruddin Ajmal caught his displeasure. Badruddin Ajmal said that I am against this bill because it is against the constitution. The Constitution does not give the right to bring people to India on the basis of religion.

He said that the government wants to bring people to India on the basis of religion. This is against the Assam Accord. We will go to the Supreme Court. Earlier, Asaduddin Owaisi, Chief of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and MP from Hyderabad, also spoke against the bill on Monday and said that the country should be protected from such legislation. Asaduddin Owaisi said in the Lok Sabha that secularism is a part of the foundation of this country.

He said that this bill violates our basic rights. In our country, the concept of citizenship is single. You are violating the decision of the top court by bringing this bill. I am urging you to fold your hands and save the country from such laws. During this time, Asaduddin Owaisi also opposed the bill by some words which were later removed from the proceedings of the Lok Sabha.
