Kochi: A few days ago, the new look of film actor Ajay Devgn went viral on the internet. It showed Ajay Devgn putting tilak on his forehead and rudraksha garland around his neck. Seeing Ajay Devgn in such a way his fans thought he was preparing for a film. However, the reason behind Ajay's look is now known. In fact, on Wednesday, Ajay Devgn visited the Sabarimala temple in Kerala and visited Lord Ayyappa (Lord Ayyappa) Swami.
For this, the actor performed 41 days of hard practice and also fasted. In these 41 days, Ajay neither cut his nails nor shaved. He reached the Sannidhanam Sabarimala temple with Irumudi Kettu on his head. A video of the actor wearing black clothes and masks has surfaced from the Sabarimala temple in which he is seen going to the temple. Ajay Devgan strictly followed the rituals and rules of the temple for 41 days. Dressed in black, carrying Arumudi Kettu on his head, Ajay Devgan along with other devotees offered prayers in the temple. The Devaswa Board officials also gifted a shawl to the actor.
According to the temple website, the pilgrimage to Sabarimala is for examination of the senses. Devotees are expected to lead a simple sacred life, called 'Vritham', to ensure the proper completion of the pilgrimage. Every year the Sabarimala temple is opened for devotees between November and January. For this, devotees have to follow many strict rules along with fasting, sadhna, living a sanyasi life for 41 days. 800 years old, this temple is surrounded by hills from all sides.
