Bollywood star Ajay Devgn is all set to direct Megastar Amitabh Bachchan in an upcoming film Mayday. The duo will be reuniting onscreen after seven years.  The producer of the film Ajay Devgn will be playing the role of a pilot in the movie. The production house has kept the details of Bachchan’s character secretive. There are some tremendous movie produced and directed by Devgn like Shivaay and U Me Aur Hum. It will be the first time for Ajay Devgn production house to cast and direct Big B.

According to DNA, the film will be out by December soon after Devgn winds up the work on his upcoming film Bhuj. On the other hand, Bachchan sir is busy shooting for the famous reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati. Taking to the Twitter, film critics and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the information regarding the reunion of Ajay and Big- B. He wrote,"BIGGG NEWS... #AjayDevgn to direct #AmitabhBachchan... An edge-of-the-seat human drama... Titled #Mayday... #Ajay is playing a pilot in the film... Remaining cast under finalisation... Produced and directed by #AjayDevgn... Starts this Dec in #Hyderabad.". 

On the work front, Ajay was last seen in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, also starring his wife Kajol and Saif Ali Khan. Now he will seen in many films including Bhuj: The Pride of India, MaidaanandRRR.Talking about Bachchan, he was last in Shoojit Sircar's Gulabo Sitabo, also starring Ayushmann Khurrana. He has Nagraj Manjule's Jhund, Rami Jaffery's Chehre and Ayan Mukherji's Brahmastrain the pipeline.
