In the  Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships  India's Ajay Singh has grabbed the bronze medal in Kathmandu last evening. In the  77 kg men's junior category he finished at the third spot after lifting 143 kg in snatch and 172 kg in clean and jerk.

In the  69kg women youth category, S. Nirpupama Devi had bagged a bronze medal while Konsam Ormila Devi had won gold in 44kg weight category on an opening day on Wednesday.

In  94 kg men junior category  Kosum Taba will compete and Lovepreet Singh will take part in 105 kg men junior category.
