Mumbai: Due to the lockdown, the problem of workers trapped in various states is now troubling the governments. Millions of workers are stranded in Maharashtra and the Uddhav government is demanding that they should be sent back home. UP CM Yogi Adityanath has also said that if the governments of other states want to take people, then they will make arrangements to send them back home.
Now Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has written a letter to Railway Minister Piyush Goyal. In this letter, Ajit Pawar has demanded that after the lockdown ends on May 3, workers and labourers from other states should be taken to their homes. Ajit Pawar has demanded that special trains be run from Mumbai and Pune to take people from other states.
According to an official statement, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar said in a letter to Piyush Goyal that migrant workers stranded in different parts of Maharashtra go out in large numbers to leave their homes after the lockdown ends. He said that this may cause law and order problems. Ajit Pawar said that to avoid this, the Ministry of Railways should run special trains.
