Jaipur: The tradition of Urs Mela held every year at the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer, Rajasthan will break this year. The district administration has requested the Anjuman and the Dargah Committee to ban the fair in time and its information should be conveyed to all. On Tuesday, a meeting was organized for the 809th Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishti under the leadership of District Magistrate Prakash Rajpurohit in the Collectorate Auditorium. Superintendent of Police Kunwar Rashtradeep was also present in this.
The district magistrate said that due to the corona epidemic, the state government has issued guidelines. Religious programs can be organized according to the guidelines issued by the government. All rituals will be performed during the 809th Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishti. He said that the crowd is not to be allowed under the guidelines issued in relation to the corona epidemic. Due to this, the Kayad rest station will be closed.
District Magistrate Prakash Rajpurohit said that all the individuals and institutions related to the dargah will try to ensure that at least one person comes to Ajmer during Urs. The elderly and children should not travel to avoid infection. Given the current circumstances, the possibility of organizing Urs is extremely low.
