Ajmer: Ajmer police have arrested five accused in connection with a gang that robbed a taxi by poisoning them. Three luxury cars were also recovered from the arrested . The arrested accused run an automobile parts shop and sell the stolen parts of cars.

Ajmer Superintendent of Police Kunwar Rashtradeep has briefed the press on the matter. Meanwhile, he said, all the accused are from UP and Jodhpur in the state. Even during the course of the incident, they were located in Jodhpur. The Superintendent of Police said that the accused used to hire private taxis, then took the taxi driver to an area in another district and robbed the taxi by intoxicating them.

Police said, in a similar case, Dinesh Raghav, a victim, had lodged a complaint with the police station on July 26, 2019. Meanwhile, police have arrested Riyaz Khan, a resident of Jodhpur, and his accomplicesaifin mohammad Rafiq Reis Khan and Mohammad Javed. In the meantime, in strict police interrogation, he has confessed to his involvement in the crime.
