Prayagraj: The controversy over not inviting Dalit Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kanhaiya Prabhunandan Giri at the Bhoomi Poojan ceremony of the proposed Ram temple in Ayodhya on 5 August is constantly deepening. The Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, the largest organization of saints, has not only expressed deep displeasure with the jump of BSP supremo Mayawati and other political people in this case but has also spoken about taking action against them by giving an ultimatum to Kanhaiya Giri.

Akhara Parishad head Mahant Narendra Giri has said that he will discuss the matter with the patron of Juna Akhara and Mahant Hari Giri, general secretary of the Akhara Parishad and will also take strict action by passing a resolution against him in the upcoming meeting of the Akhara Parishad. Describing the objection and protest of Kanhaiya Prabhu Nandan Giri as wrong, he has said that due to his move, both the Sant Samaj and the Bhoomi Poojan of Ram temple have come into controversy without cause. They are going on the wrong track. A strict decision will be taken against them in the next meeting of the Akhara Council.

The Akhara Council has expressed strong displeasure over the matter. Akhara Parishad chief Mahant Narendra Giri has said that Swami Kanhaiya Prabhunandan Giri is the Mahamandaleshwar of Juna Akhara and he should not talk about dividing saints into castes.
