New Delhi: Akhilesh Yadav was unanimously elected president of the party on Thursday for a third time in a row, said  Ram Gopal Yadav, the secretary general of the Samajwadi Party. At the Samajwadi Party national convention in the Ramabai Ambedkar stadium, Ram Gopal Yadav announced the poll results and declared Akhilesh Yadav was the only candidate for the post.

Akhilesh Yadav took assumed the role of SP president in January 2017 at a party emergency meeting, succeeding his father Mulayam Singh Yadav. In October of the same year, during the party's national congress in Agra, he was elected SP president for a second time.

Yadav claimed that this government was not created by the people and that even the general public does not understand how the Bharatiya Janata Party once again formed the government. He added that the Samajwadi Party has lost the government to the BJP. "Even the general public does not believe that this government was created by them (the BJP). They seized control of the government from the Samajwadi Party using its machinery because they anticipated losing control of Delhi if they lost power in Uttar Pradesh ".

"On orders from the BJP and its allies, the election commission purposefully decreased the votes of Yadavs and Muslims by 20,000 in nearly every Vidhan Sabha seat. If a probe is done, it will be discovered that many people's identities were deleted," he said.
Akhilesh Yadav unleashed a stinging attack on the BJP, claiming that they are unable to send stretchers or ambulances to underprivileged villagers but lavishly rewarding wealthy businesspeople.

"Given that some states are about to hold elections, the BJP has eliminated rationing. They can make food free, but they can't give stretchers or ambulances to the poor in communities, even while they give wealthy businessmen enormous rewards."
