Lucknow: Some laborers returning back to their village during the corona virus epidemic and lockdown have fallen victim to the accident in Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday morning. A truck hit DCM loaded with migrant workers, in which 24 workers have lost their lives and 15 are said to be seriously injured. The injured have been referred to Saifai PGI. Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati have targeted the central and state government over the Auraiya accident. Akhilesh Yadav wrote in a tweet that, 'Indescribable grief over the death of more than 24 poor migrant workers in a road accident in Auraiya of UP. Prayers for the injured Knowing everything ... even after seeing everything ... see how the heartless people and their supporters who keep silence justify this neglect. Such accidents are not deaths, but deaths.

The SP chief wrote in another tweet that, 'The news of the killing of migrant workers returning home is shocking. Basically these are the people who used to run home. Therefore, Samajwadi Party will provide assistance of Rs 1 lakh to the family of each deceased in the state. Taking moral responsibility, the ruthless BJP government should also give an amount of Rs 10 lakh per deceased person.
