Lucknow: On Wednesday, speaking on brawl that broke out between the BJP MLA and MP in Sant Kabir Nagar, former Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav said when the country's PM says 'ghar main ghus ke maroonga', and the CM goes one step ahead and says 'thoko’ then incidents like this are bound to happen. Yadav further said that when the PM and the CM use such language that shouldn't be used in a democracy then what else can be expected.

Yadav was referring to PM Narendra Modi’s ‘ghar main ghus ke marenge’ statement aimed at Pakistan and UP CM Yogi Adityanath’s encounter policy to neutralize criminals. Yesterday’s incident left the saffron party red-faced when Sharad Tripathi, the Lok Sabha member of BJP started hitting BJP MLA Rakesh Baghel over his name being omitted from a foundation-laying plaque.

The video of the incident that took place in the presence of the media went viral on social media platforms. The scuffle took place in the presence of a senior Cabinet Minister Ashutosh Tandon at the district coordination meeting at Sant Kabir Nagar. Tripathi was apparently unhappy with his name being omitted from a foundation-laying plaque and confronted Baghel to which he replied that it was his choice to do so or not. This infuriated Tripathi and he started hitting the BJP MLA with his shoes while other office-bearers and district officials looked helplessly.
