Lucknow: Samajwadi Party President and former CM Akhilesh Yadav has played a minority card in view of the upcoming assembly elections in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh over raids on perfume traders Piyush and Pushparaj Jain. He said the raid shows that the BJP is against minorities and does not want the Jain community to get rich.

The SP chief said this while addressing a function in Lucknow on Sunday. Not only that, Akhilesh then accompanied the road show to the temple of Lord Parshuram. The temple has been constructed by the Samajwadi Party (SP) in Lucknow itself. The SP is said to have constructed the temple to woo the Brahmin community in the elections. Akhilesh Yadav said the BJP is against the minority. As soon as he came to power, he abolished the Anglo Indians seats from the Lok Sabha. The same thing was done in the Assembly.

Not only that, Akhilesh Yadav also linked the kisan movement to the Sikh community and said that he was treated cruelly. Akhilesh Yadav said the BJP government had laid nails in the way of farmer agitators. 700 people lost their lives in this movement. The BJP has so far not responded to Akhilesh Yadav linking the raid with the Jain community.
