Lucknow: After the death of the Unnao rape victim, politics in Lucknow has intensified on this matter. SP National President Akhilesh Yadav has addressed the media in this matter. Akhilesh said that during the tenure of BJP government, the graph of crime against daughters has increased in the state and the country. Today daughters are demanding justice from BJP government, but the government is not able to give justice.

SP President Akhilesh sat on a protest in front of the main gate of the assembly on Saturday. He is staging a sit-in with senior party leaders to protest against the Unnao incident. It is noteworthy that the 23-year-old rape victim of a village in Bihar police station area of Unnao district was burnt by 5 people in the early hours of Thursday. The victim filed a rape case against two of the accused. The scorched girl, who had been burning for nearly 90-95%, was flown from Lucknow to Delhi and admitted to the hospital where she died at around 11:30 pm late Friday.

On the other hand, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi has left for Lucknow from Unnao to meet the family of the deceased victim in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh. The Unnao rape victim who was set on fire died late at night in Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi.
