Only one week left for the 14th season of IPL to start, before that Delhi Capitals have got a shock. The team's star all-rounder and spin bowler Axar Patel have been found corona infected. Though no official confirmation has been made yet, news agency ANI has received this news from sources in the Delhi Capitals team. Currently, the characters are in isolation with all the protocols. Delhi will play their first match with Chennai Super Kings on 10 April.
Axar Patel is the second cricketer to be found corona infected after Nitish Rana of Kolkata Knight Riders. Nitish's report came negative on Thursday after being infected on 22 March. According to the BCCI guidelines, after a player becomes corona infected, he or she must remain in isolation for at least 10 days outside of the BioSecure bubble. Due to this, any type of workout and practice is also not allowed. Infections doing bed rest will be examined by team doctors at regular intervals. If the situation does not improve, the player will be admitted to the hospital immediately.
The same eight workers of this historic ground have been found to be Corona positive, who had been working hard for several weeks to make the tournament successful day and night. According to media reports, there are 19 employees working in the stadium, which was investigated by the Mumbai Cricket Association last week, of which the report of three persons came positive on 26 March. The next round of testing reports came on 1 April, in which five more personnel were found to be Corona positive.
