As per the information Akshay discussed the upcoming film city project in the northern state. The meeting at a city hotel where Yogi Adityanath arrived earlier in the day lasted for 35 minutes
During the half-an-hour-long meeting, the actor expressed his enthusiasm over U.P’s much-anticipated Film City project. The actor said, “Many big production houses, producers, directors and actors are waiting for the U.P. Film City. The development of world-class film and infotainment city in U.P. will provide a new option to the cinema world.” CM Yogi assured the actor that the Film City project of U.P. will be at par with global standards. He added that a new film policy is also being prepared.
UP’s CM also pointed out the important role of cinema in increasing public awareness. Filmmakers should give importance to the issues of social and national consciousness while selecting the subjects, said the CM. Akshay Kumar also urged Adityanath to watch his latest film 'Ram Setu' and said the Hindi film industry was keenly awaiting the opening of film city which the Uttar Pradesh government is developing.
On the work front, Akshay Kumar will star in Selfiee with Emraan Hashmi, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty. The film is set for February 2023 release. He also Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Tiger Shroff, and Soorarai Pottru remake. He was last seen in Ram Setu. The movie receives positive feedback.
