Akshay Kumar has been in the news for his citizenship which is making buzz on social media. Soon after the actor revealed that it is no hidden secret that he has Canadian passport and requested everyone to not encourage a ‘needless controversy’. However, that tweet only got things worse and trolls began to take their comments a level further. In the midst of being trolled, Anupam Kher tweeted in his support, asking him to stop explaining himself to everyone about his contribution to this country and how he has proved to be an asset. Now, Akshay finally took to his Twitter account to thank Anupam Kher for being more of a friend than just a colleague.

Akshay Kumar took to Twitter and wrote, “Dearest @AnupamPKher ji, duly noted, also thank you for this and thank you for being more of a friend than a colleague. Hugs,” Akki’s Tweet read, a reply to Anupam’s tweet which read as follows: “Dear @akshaykumar! Have been reading about you explaining to certain people about your loyalty to our country. Stop it! Their real profession is to make people like you & me feel defensive for talking in favour of India. You are a doer. You don’t need to explain to anybody.”
