The Delhi High Court has flatly refused to entertain Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's plea seeking to change the title of his movie 'Prithviraj'. The court has said that Prithviraj Chauhan was a great emperor and keeping the title of the film only 'Prithviraj' has hurt the sentiments of a large section of the society. In such a situation, as a suggestion, it was said that the title of the movie was to be 'The Great Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan' (Prithviraj Chauhan). According to reports, the Karni Sena had also protested against the title of this movie film. A PIL was filed by Karni Sena regarding the release of this movie. Â It was alleged that an attempt was also being made by the makers to tarnish the image of Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan.
What was the controversy: The petitioner has also filed objections to the title of Akshay Kumar's movie, the petitioner said that the manner in which the name of the great warrior Prithviraj Chauhan has been taken without respect and it has been made the title of the film is going to hurt many sentiments.
Akshay's film is being made under the direction of Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi. The release date of the film has been fixed for June 10. In the movie, Akshay Kumar's apostasy is Manushi Chhillar, while Sonu Sood, Sanjay Dutt are also an important part of the movie Prithviraj. Sonu Sood will be seen in the role of Mahakavi Chand Bardai in this film. Manushi Chhillar is going to be seen in the role of Sanyogita in the film. Sanjay Dutt will be seen playing the role of Kaka Kanha in the film.
