Since the suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput, there are many things which are rising. There are many fans who are still not able to recover from his death. Sushant worked in 10 films in his seven-year career and cricket has played a very important role in his films. He started his Bollywood career in the year 2013 with the film Kai Po Che and in this film he appeared in the role of a cricketer. He had another film which was the biopic of MS Dhoni, a very popular cricketer of Team India.

He played the role of Dhoni in this film. Akshay Kumar had also made a lot of efforts for this role and he was constantly asking the director of the film Neeraj Pandey to play the lead role in this film. While talking about this in the past, Neeraj said, "It was not possible for Akshay to play the role of 16–17 year old young Dhoni in the film, that's why I did not choose him for Dhoni."

Neeraj also said, "Sushant caught Dhoni's body language in quite the right way. He worked hard to become Dhoni and this film is also considered as the most realistic cricket biopic in Bollywood." Akshay then worked with Neeraj in films like Naam Shabana and Rustom which were excellent and also became hits.
