Alarming!: Africa's coronavirus cases surpass 4.3 million: CDC Report

Africa/US: The Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) said in a statement, that the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Africa has crossed 43,01,375.

The Africa Disease Controls and the specialized healthcare agency of the African Union on Thursday said the death toll from the pandemic stood at 114,598 while 3,868,129 patients across the continent have recovered from the disease, reports by Xinhua.

South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, Ethiopia and Egypt are among the African countries with the most cases in the continent, according to the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In terms of the number of cases, southern Africa is the most affected region, followed by northern Africa and eastern Africa regions, while central Africa is the least affected region in the continent, according to the African health agency.

African countries have received about 33.8 million Covid-19 vaccine doses from different sources, mainly the COVAX facility, and through bilateral agreements outside the COVAX facility, according to the Africa CDC.

US Vaccine shot: In US About 174 million Covid-19 vaccine shots have been administered by Thursday, while more than 229 million Covid-19 vaccine doses have been distributed across the country. US President Joe Biden had announced that all American adults will be eligible for Covid-19 vaccine by April 19, moving up his original deadline by nearly two weeks.
