Dubai: Actor Alec Baldwin pleaded not guilty on Thursday to an involuntary manslaughter charge related to the fatal shooting on the set of the movie "Rust" in New Mexico, according to court records.

Baldwin entered the plea, exercising his right to a first court appearance on Friday. Baldwin entered the plea in a court document and is scheduled to appear before a judge for the first time on Friday.

Last month, New Mexico First Judicial District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwiss filed two counts of involuntary manslaughter against Baldwin and the film's set armourer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reid, for the death of cinematographer Halina Hutchins.
